The Capucin funicular
Inaugurated in 1898 in the Puy-de-Dôme department, the Capucin funicular was the first electric funicular to be built in France! It is also listed as a Historic Monument.
In the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region of France, you'll have the chance to climb aboard the oldest electric funicular in France! Recognisable by its deep green colour and Belle-Epoque style, the Capucin funicular takes you up to 1245m to the Salon du Capucin. Once there, there are several options open to you:
